From 27 April 2019, an exhibition entitled Monologue in Praise of the Seashell will be running at the Hermitage–Vyborg centre. More than 150 exhibits from the stocks of the State Hermitage, spanning a period from ancient times to the present day, sing the praises of the seashell, one of nature’s most beautiful creations, and the way that in the hands of skilled craftspeople it can turn into a work of art.
